After much researching and asking around on this forum, I have decided to live in Woodbridge or Lorton since it's 30 min drive south to Fredericksburg where I work. I am starting to looking for apartment rentals in Woodbridge or Lorton area now. Can anyone recommend good apartment rentals for 1 bed or studio? my Budget is under $1500 per month. Thank you

Look for the Wegmans Grocery story in Lorton as a point of reference. I believe there are some nice apartments a mile or two southeast of that store that might fit your budget.

There is no Wegman's in Lorton. It is in Woodbridge.

I'm curious about the part I highlighted. Is there a reason you don't want to be/can't be closer to work?

I think I read on another thread that the poster was young/single and wanted to be halfway so he/she could get into DC easier than being down in Fredericksburg.

I would stay in Fredericksburg if I am not single. But I am a young single professional coming from NYC, so I need to occasionally have social life in the city during the weekends.

Have you looked on commuter connections to see if there is any hope of getting a southbound commuter carpool or bus.

If you want to meet the people you want to meet you should be living up in Alexandria or Ballston or Rosslyn.
That being said I would look around Lorton Station . Mostly townhomes but I think some rentals. .
