On the same topic..sort of. This area seems to be lacking in good breakfast places. Can't do IHOP or the silver Diner one more time. We've done most of the places in Old Town, good but nothing really great!

Any suggestions....

Funny you mention that. I was talking to someone at work today and they told me that this is where the Eggspectation was supposed to go in but that the contract did not work out?? That's to bad..

I completely agree that this area needs more options although I must admit, we do not go out to the routine breakfast places very often. That is one of the things we enjoy about Eggspectations though.. such a variety of items with a number of smaller or lighter options for those so inclined while the "big breakfast" folks can get that as well.. And great all day food too!
Sorry.. don't mean to sound like a cheerleader for the place but we really did enjoy the place.. Chantilly is a long trip to go out and eat though

Yes, it was supposed to be Eggspectations, but lease fell through. Property is very expensive to lease theer. They are still looking for a restaurant for the space.

Try Franconia Pizza between the Bank and 7-11 in the small shopping center on Franconia near Beaulah. Fresh cooked, reasonable price good value. Not open on Sunday. You can also try Springfield Deli next accross from the Circuit City/DSW/BBY complex. It is free-standing accross the street next to an office building. Good food, resonable price. We are always looking for a new breakfast place. -- Panara now has some new sandwhiches that are not bad - and great tto sit outside on a nice day.

There used to be a great diner on N. Van Dorn near Red Lobster, but its an Apple bank now. It was a typically New York style diner run by Greeks. I was very sad to see it go.

There is a interesting breakfast place across from where I used to live in Old Town. I don't know the name but its location is across from Whole Foods spot on Duke. Always lots of people and looked pretty homestyle. I never made it there, unfortunately.

I remember that restaurant on Van Dorn. Great place. It was open 24 hours, at least on weekends, I think.

Is the place on Duke Street you're referring to the Table Talk restaurant? It looks very cute. My daughter ate there once and enjoyed it. It must be popular because it always looks full.
