Trying to decide whether to take liberal leave today or brave the roads. The metro is not running to where I am in Falls Church.

The roads were fine yesterday as well..however, we were not sharing the road with many so that may account for why...

Just had a coworker come in who used Metro. He left at 8:00 and it has taken him close to 3 hours to get in (Orange Line).

My husband drove into work from Burke and gave a ride to our neighbor. It took them over 2 hours to get into DC.

My office is right next to 395 and it is a parking lot. But Christine had a good commute. A coworker said that a 30 minute commute took 1.5 hours. So I guess different for everyone,. With the red line train derailment I think the evening commute is going to be a nightmare at best I predict.

At 7:00-7:15 this morning I-395 was slower than usual, but it was due to a disabled vehicle in the left lane between Glebe Rd. and Washington Blvd. northbound. So, probably an extra 5-10 minutes was all. The DC roads are still a mess though, there is snow piled up "at the curb" blocking a lot of curbside lanes.

I was walking down Wilson Blvd in Arlington @ 8:45 am, and have never seen it jammed up that bad.

No joke, in the 1-mile stretch between Court House + Rosslyn, I was walking at a much faster pace than cars going on the same route.

I have plans to meet up with friends downtown tonight, and I have no idea how we're going to get there.

Metro lines are running slow and closing early tonight. Parking is going to be next to impossible since all the streets are lined with snow plow piles. Not sure how I'm gonna get there...
