Some races/nationalities are more clannish the other. Overall Saudi/Pakistan/India have the lowest of interracial marriages in the DC area. Some cultures still have arranged marriages.

You may be onto something with your first point: I've seen a lot of general socializing across ethnicites but ongoing relationships could be another story in some cases.
I do have to say that it's unfortunate that you've felt it necessary to commute from McLean to Baltimore to explore your dating options.

We live in Indianapolis. I'm white, my wife is black. We have never had any issues of any kind with anyone in Indy. In fact, the only place people gave us hostile stares was Lancaster, Ohio.
