I think she should have marched up and down Lincoln Blvd with a sign that says "Gays are like cancer and has to be dealt with" or "Gays are worst than terrorist"

Last year a session of the Oklahoma House of Representatives was open by a prayer from a gay minister. All the republican law makers walked out.

Last year the Baptist convention said that if "Don't ask don't tell" is repealed they would consider withdrawing their clergy from the military. Their reason was they did not want to have to pray for a injured or dying solider because they maybe gay

The Mormons had some very mean words to say about gays when Prop 8 was on the ballet in CA. And now they are fighting the over turn of it in the courts.

All of our representatives in Washington DC made it very clear that they just support "some" of our troops.

So when I hear folks say WBC ugly words and signs are unchristian or unamerican I often say really?

I think I am with Annemieke Roell on this one.
I bet that the only openly gay legislator, Rep. Al McAffrey, will tell you he encounters a lot of hatred against gays while he serves at the State Capitol. I admire him for staying, rather than throwing his hands up and leaving the state of Oklahoma.

And sadly the vet will end up in prison.

Most of the Nam Vets I know have already been in prison for standing up for what they believed in, a second trip wouldn't bother them.

These crazies came down to Bowlegs, Ok today to stir up trouble and protest at the funeral of 3 oklahoma teens who were tragically killed in a car wreck near Asher this week. All 3 kids were family...2 brothers, and a girl cousin.

I'm good friends with a teacher at Konowa where the girl went to school. She told me the whole area is devastated and they couldn't believe anyone would celebrate the death of kids....especially a church.

The Westboro group said that God killed these teens and will continue to kill Oklahoma children for the way they were treated in McAlester, OK a month ago while they protested the death of a fallen marine from there.

These folks are nut jobs, and I fear the day they come to McCurtain/Pushmataha county to celebrate the death of a loved one there. They'll never been seen again.

It's sickening to say the least. I hope that get what they deserve. I'd hate to be a police officer there having to protect them as the officers did in McAlester.

Yes, the leader of that so called church is crazy but what happens is he sends kids and women to do the actual protesting and no one wants to attack a child or woman.. The idiot hasn't nerve enough to do his own protesting..

Default Westboro Baptist Church

The best counter protest to Westboro Baptist crowd is a person showing up at their rallies with a sign saying "God hates shrimp."

God Hates Shrimp

So, Oklahoma should declare war on Westboro Baptist Church!

Who ARE these people? This is no church it's a hate group!

They came to PA to protest at the memorial of this poor brave kid - 21- and the people of the town formed a human chain and they left!

They shielded the family from the hateful things they were saying about this boy.

NO ONE LIKES THEM!

I'd like to introduce the adults from WBC (Westboro Cult!) to the end of my 12 gauge.
