Nah! I'm just too mean to be like the rest of them, you know "the black sheep of the bunch". I go my own way and don't care what the rest of them do.

Help me obie wan techiekanobie

My computer had detected:

TrojWare.Win32.PSW.Kates.A

So, I quarantined it. Should I leave it in quarantine or click on REMOVE next time? I never knew what I should do. I could not find anything out about this virus. If anyone has a good list of virus, please post a link.

Did it show you WHICH file was infected with the Trojan?? Quarantine is good, but you need to know which file is infected BEFORE you hit remove... IF it is nothing important then you can dump it.

I ran a check on the Trojan itself and it seems to be connected to certain online games that some people play, but it can also be spread via infected email. If you don't play the online games chances are it was never *activated* and can be safely dumped. (Depending on which file it it infected in your comp)

RB, if the scan doesn't show this trojan, that means your PC isn't infected with it.

If it's not infected you can either hit the "remove" or restore your PC back to a date before this showed up, say..9/13/2009, and that will get rid of it

I think it's one of those "fake" viruses like I've gotten not too long ago.

In order order for a complete scan, all programs should be closed and you shouldn't use the PC.

Full scan completed AND a full anti-spyware scan. Took almost 2 hours.

Nothing found.

So I deleted the PSW.Kates.A that was in naenk.kvq

whew! I don't need a melt down now!
