All bunch of snobs...if you don't drive a BMW/Mercedes, you're out of the game. Let me think of some adjectives to describe girls I've met: self-absorbed, self-centered, rude, fakey/flakey, plastic, airheaded, money hungry, standoff'ish, stuckup...you get the point.

The ones who are less of these things are married or ugly.

Fakey/flakey is an official term assigned to So Cal, btw.

Just watch an episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" to get a good idea of what the women are like in South County. If you like fake looking hair that's over-bleached, fake boobs (and lots of cosmetic surgery by age 40), then you'll be in heaven. They also tend to be conservative airheads too. I've met too many OC women who said they were Republicans, but had no clue why they were or they were Republicans because their "sugar daddy" husband told them to vote Republican.

Of course you could find a nice, down-to-earth, educated woman with natural beauty in OC. You'll just have to look harder.

Where can I find down-to-earth people in OC???????
Costa Mesa. I really like the place and people there seem to be the "anti-OC".

I'm not anti-OC, just anti-stereotypical OC on TV.

Even all of Coto isn't like that stupid (but oddly and shamefully entertaining... >_<) TV show on Bravo. My friends have cousins who live in Coto whose family isn't all like what you see on TV--and they say there are other normal folks there, too. Of course, not only are they not over-the-top, but they're Asian, so no one will ever find out they exist--TV depicts OC has having only the palest of inhabitants, even though we're actually quite colorful.

Not to mention plenty of us here have brains that aren't pre-wired for plastic surgery and sugar daddy hunting. And no, not all of us who aren't full of ourselves are fat and/or ugly (as other posters on this forum have mentioned). I have plenty of attractive girlfriends who aren't plastic... I'm consistently working on my athleticism and stamina, too--so I can join the legions of pretty, healthy, and intelligent OC women we have here, too.

Seriously, there are loads of great men and women here--just look harder and be pickier with who you choose to spend your time with. ^_^

Maybe try Yoga or something where people tend to be a little more spiritually deep? I have no idea, the people I meet in OC seem to care about cars, clothes and overpriced stuff to inflate status.

Good luck, we moved back up to the Bay Area and still come here for work once a month. Personally I think you should stay in San Francisco, if you like it there. No job is worth it IMO .

If you're into good looking women, South OC is heaven. Man, I've never seen so many attractive ladies, and they are everywhere! Check out a grocery store during a weekday... quite amazing.

If you're concerned about hooking up long-term, you might be better off snagging one in another town. If you're looking for some action, try to get friendly with a few lonely married ladies.

I seriously hope no one is forming an opinion about the women in OC based on one "Reality" TV show. While the women in that show definitely exhibit some of the worst traits you could hope to find in a woman, wouldn't you think that: a) the casting folks were looking for people who might reflect a certain stereotype; and b) the editing folks can weave whatever "reality" they choose too weave? Besides, most of the guys on that show are idiots too.

I'm a guy and I have to say that it's pretty hypocritical for a guy to be calling out gold-digging women when most guys are only interested (at least initially) in a woman's looks. Its like the craigslist add that's been making it's way around the Internet lately.....many relationships have come to be seen as a business transaction: the guy wants a hot chick and the hot chick wants use of the guys money. Neither desire would be considered anything but superficial, but neither is worse than the other.
