i live in huntington beach and i am considering a job in oceanside. the commute would be regular rush hrs. i have been doing the drive to irvine, so i know the slow spots on the 405. don't know much about the 5...how is it south in the a.m. and north in the p.m.? i could take the 73 toll road...maybe just on the commute home. any advice appreciated!

If you weren't aware already, the commute from Huntington to Oceanside is an hour without traffic. I'm not sure how bad the 5 gets going south in the morning, but it's going to be a long commute!

I think it will always suck in comparison with Huntington. In my opinion, Carlsbad and San Clemente would be better choices.
