Today's Question(s):
Yesterday we talked about new foods so it made me wonder

If you go to someones home for dinner and they serve something you don't like or never had before do you:

I will try a small bit. I always feel guilty about appearing rude however, if it looks disgusting, I will not touch it.
Take some and push it around the plate ?
Claim "I had a late lunch I will just have coffee" ?
I don't go unless I know what they are making ?
I bring my own food ?

Extra Credit Question:

Ok have at it !!

What is your "Whine about one thing" whine ? I am tired of working!!! I want to know why I couldn't have been born a rich heiress who spends her days traveling the world and carrying cute pooches around in designer purses. Why? Why? Why? Poor me W-H-Y???

*** Well other than politics ***

Thanks for letting me vent....been holding that one in for a while!

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ? Several. Are they giving away something??

Just Curious Question:

Because Halloween is on Sunday this year,is anyone's town having the kids go out Saturday instead ? YAY!! My trick-or-treating days are done!

Does your town have set times for Trick or Treating ? No

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?

I like candied apples too but they are too hard on my teeth.

Just not have any and eat the other things they serve.

It usually involves other drivers. Some days it's drivers who don't put their lights on when it's foggy, raining or snowing (guess what guys, your running lights don't include the backside of your car), other days it's left hand lane drivers at a stop light who inch up and prevent you from making a right hand turn, yet other days it is people who don't use their directional signals and who turn into your street (so you could have gone through the intersection long ago, or one of my all time favorites --- people who brake first and then put on their signal light.

Bonus Question:

Do you have a Macy's in your town ?

no

Don't have kids or get trick or treaters. Don't know.

Just for Fun:

Caramel Apples
or
Candied Apples ?

Neither.

I'll usually eat what's put in front of me. I'll try anything once.
There's a Macy's in town but I rarely shop there.
My big whine is people who whine all the time.
I'm not a fan of caramel or candied apples.
Water Ski Day----Haven't gone water skiing in about 10 years.

[quote=KwaK;16413130]Good evening/morning everyone
Happy Wednesday

lol no your not seeing things.

Tomorrow morning is going to be a busy one. It is school Wednesday and I will be teaching since the woman I volunteer with is out of town. So I have some work to do on my lesson plan.
Tomorrows class is one of my favorites we are doing "hamburger plants" lol I know your thinking "karla has shaken her brain while spinning"
The Hamburger Plant shows the kids how everything they eat has a connection in some way to plants. Then they get to draw their own "hamburger plant" pictures

lol who wants to come to class with me !!!

But first a really really early start to tomorrows

Hey all back from school
The kids loved the Hamburger plant class
I got so may notes about the hamburger plant so here is the "rest of the story"

We show the kids how everything they like on their hamburger in some way comes from plants. For example Cheese, it is made from milk which comes from a cow which eats grass. Of course we make it more exciting by asking "Is cheese a plant? The kids laugh and say "No Ms. Karla" What is cheese made from? They all say milk "Is milk a plant "noooo lol" and so on, till we get to the cows eat grass "is grass a plant !!" and they all yell out "Yessss"

We continue this through all of their favorite thing to have on their burger.
Of course I highly encourage group responses so needless to say it was pretty loud in school today

lol now you know one of the reasons I love this one class so much
