Today's peeve inspired by that phone call;
Dropped cellphone calls.
(Um, I think that's the expression you use.)
This is a BIG peeve of mine ... Trying to talk to folks on cell phones can be frustrating when they have a cheap carrier where calls are constantly dropped. Don't get me wrong, I think cell phones are important as you cannot always be home when you need to make a call and they are GREAT for emergencies ... When it comes to chatting, nothing beats a corded landline for quality and a stable connection.

I have to agree with Chatteress about the quality of the land line vs cell phones. We only use our cells for emergencies. They stay in the vehicles glove box until needed.
I don't have the problem too much where I live but when I visit my sister's vacation home in the Mts. there is very little reception, you have to walk down the road or wait until you drive down the Mt. The last time we were there my daughter had been sick so I wanted to check in with her at least once a day, it was a real pain. I wish she would get a landline just for emergencies but she insist it's too expensive!
