I have been doing this for several years. I also mail all of those nasty little cards that drop out of the magazines you buy or subscribe to. This helps the US postal system keep their costs down, because there is a charge to the sender when the "pre-paid" envelope or card, hits the postal system.

Do you just stick them in the mailbox with no info filled out?
Recently I received for the third time in two years a packet of utterly useless information from the Sierra Club - complete with a glossy, colored 3 x 5 foot map of the U.S. I need to send them money so they can protect and preserve the environment. How's this: Stop printing out huge maps and various other stupid things like the computer keyboard calendar, which is too large for the keyboard and too hard to read! And yes, the whole packet went back in the pre-paid envelope, sans donation.
