Looking back on my 65+ years on this earth, I've learned a few things.
1. Hot Dogs don't taste as good coming up as they do going down.
2. Size does not matter if she loves you.
3. Backwash doesn't matter if your sharing your last beer with a friend.
4. Treat your parents as if every day were their last day. It saves regrets.
5. If you believe in God, thank Him daily.
6. Cats don't like you.
7. Kids are a blessing, even though they drive you nuts.
8. There is nothing better than waking up next to the person you love.
9. Everyone is here temporarily. Make the best of the life you have.
10. Treat people kindly, even if they don't deserve it.
11. It could ALWAYS be worse.
12. Never wear a metal hat in a thunderstorm.
13. Sometimes the party is worth the hangover.
14. Rotate your shoes.
15. Don't sweat the small stuff...EVERYTHING is small stuff.

Now it's your turn, share what you've learned. And try to keep it civil.

I've learned:
1. People, in general, are extremely myopic.
2. There is a huge difference between those who travel and those who don't.
3. Money is better as a means, not an end.
4. It's much easier to continually exercise than to stop exercising and then start again.
5. Books are still the best source of information.
6. No one should be embarrassed of their gifts, whether it be singing, drawing, or knitting.
7. Listening is a great skill that few master.
8. Family is underrated.
9. Education is underrated.
10. I enjoy being around those people who are genuinely happy when good things happen to others.
11. Everything in moderation, except love.

In 50 years..

1. Following the Golden Rule and the 10 Commandments isn't as hard as one would think.
2. Judging others just ticks YOU off.
3. Having an open mind is good but it shouldn't be so open that nothing stays in.
4. Laughter is the best medicine
5. Whining is never fun to listen to....so just don't.
6. Never talk defeat. Use words like hope, belief, faith, victory
7. Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world
8. If you have to tell others of your good deeds, you didn't do it for the right reasons.
9. Life is not fair...Anyone who says it is, or even that it ought to be, is a fool or worse

And finally....

10. And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
