When milk came in bottles and was pasteurized but not homogenized. My parents were unhappy about homogenized milk because they could no longer scoop the cream off the top of it and save it for their coffee.

Five dollars was a lot of money back then.

I remember when the internet wasn’t a thing, and music was actually talent-filled.

Golly I was lucky to get 50 cents for all that, and unlucky to get a spanking if I didn't.

I remember when you could enjoy the little things in life, and there weren't any issues daily.

I found a $1 bill on the sidewalk once about 1941. I was ecstatic. I had never had a whole dollar before. It lasted me for a couple of weeks. It was many more years before I ever had $5 in my pocket.

Went out grocery shopping today.
Splurged a little by buying myself a birthday cake for tomorrow.
Will be 44 for the 2nd time.
Will share a small piece for my 4 legged companion ( Calif Yorkshire Pit Bull) 2yr old Female.
Aquired her as a discarded pup then I broke my hip and she has been my therapist since then.
Strange how being old makes the mind work by bringing up past experiences and repeating into today's actions.
Reflecting on my past is all that I have as my days are numbered.
I am so old.............

"A daily dose of four-legged therapy" someone once called them. A neighbor across the hall from me (apartment building) adopted a tiny handful of pup a year ago. I watched that baby grow to a 50+ pound pack of vivacious love. We became great friends. Now they have moved and I miss him.

Two 44s is only 88. You're still young. Hang in there and take your daily dose.
