You timed that just right. You commented right when I was editing the post. LOL. I've posted stuff about politics not in the political threads and got flagged for it.
Watching American Bandstand Saturday morning after all the great cartoons, Roadrunner, Tom & Jerrry, Snagglepuss, etc.
Sometimes on Saturday afternoon we watched the Saturday afternoon movie, however, as kids we didn't spend a lot of time indoors.
We were usually riding our bikes to the park, cardboard sliding, swimming, walking to Thrifty's with our dogs to get a .10 ice cream cone. Buying .1, .5 candy usually Bazokka Joe, Jolly Rancher's, Pikie sticks, Smarties, etc. After our fun Saturday we just had to make sure we were home in time for dinner.
Saturday's were such a fun day and so much fun stuff to do.

I remember the first time we danced on American Bandstand (Philly - 1957) and I remember the white sleeveless top and white flared skirt (topped with a cinch belt) my mom bought me for the occasion......looked pretty good on a 99 pounder!
I remember wood frame tennis rackets with a screw-on anti-warping frame.
I remember white tennis balls.
I remember skis with binding straps
I remember cigarette commercials
