I'm so old I remember when a bun hairdo was for OLD women only. Now it's high fashion, especially the "sloppy bun".
LOL. As an afterthought--many decades ago when it was the "old ladies" that wore their hair in buns, the younger ones wore short, permed, easy care hairdos. Today it's the older ones that have the short, easy care hairdos and the younger ones are wearing the buns. I let my own hair grow for the past two years so I could wear a pony tail once more before I die (did so in the 50's) and have also put my hair up into a sloppy bun on occasion. But every time I do a bun and look at myself in the mirror all I see is an old, gray haired lady with a grannie bun who looks like an old, gray haired lady with a grannie bun--just as I remember my own grandmother from the 1940's.
When I was a little girl, telephone numbers still started with letters - ALPine-4562, for example.
......and I still remember mine from the late 1950's.......Mom must have pounded it into my head LOL!
