Cars:
1- no seat belts
2- no a/c
3- no emissions standards
4- cigarette lighters
5- made to last
Those are good ones, but I have to disagree with #5. I think cars are made to last much longer today. Vehicle lifespan today is over 12 years for the first time in history. That is double what it was in the 1930s.
I'm so old that when I'm in a random group of people anymore, I'm usually the oldest and communications are difficult. It seems that most folks my age are either now in hiding or locked up, or expected to be locked up, in a senior care facility.
It seems like only yesterday when I bought a new, fuzzy toilet seat cover set. Still guilty of at least eight uncool habits, including cooking meat loaf. Heck, it's my best (and only) dish.
Oh hell no. Well, except maybe the patterned wallpaper. I think that would be cool. Only because I never had it. It sure would beat the ugly white walls, I've had to live with and still do. It's always been my dream to own an old house and decorate it in a 1930s style. If that is thinking like a boomer, then so be it.
