I remember when there was no white out, you had those little white sheets you had to back up the typewriter and type over this white paper the same letter that was a mistake to blot it out.
I remember before we had those even. Had the typewriter eraser, hard rubber that usually tore the paper and we had to start all over again.

I remember only having dial phones and ALL long distance calls being operator assisted.

I remember gasoline at 25 cents a gallon. Up to 35 cents when I started driving.

My Mom had Blue Chip stamps., I think we used a wet sponge instead of licking them to put in the book.

green stamps here, and we licked.

I remember when mileage on a car got close to a round number you'd drive around the block and watch it actually change. Can't do that with these new digital things.

Yeah! And Green stamps too. My mom used to let us lick the stamps and fill the books. Then we'd redeem them but I can't remember for what

I remember when mechanics knew how to fix a car before they became controlled by computers. When I was having ongoing trouble with my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (I loved that car until I didn't) my brother told me to buy an old Chevy truck and he wasn't wrong! Should have done it.

I remember the Thriller in Manilla.

The build up for months was not a letdown.

It was thrilling, possibly made more exciting as I had 4 older brothers.
