Helo, I have been recieving e mail for I cant tell you how many years about you are this close to winning the grand prize in the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. I swear I have not seen them drive up to a home in Years!! Or is just me? I never see a winner! Is it even worth entering ?
I havent heard anything from them in ages, but yes, people really do win. Several years ago, my grandparents won the runner-up, which was still quite a substantial amount. Usually, they subscribe every year but that one time they didnt, and they still won.
I wonder how they drive up to a house though, if you live on a boat, or in an apt, or in a trailer park.....

I’ve been staying home all day for quite a while waiting for the doorbell to ring, and they never show up.
Actually Publishers Clearing House is the big winner. They take in millions from many innocent people. A 90 year old neighbor (who has since died) subscribed to and bought everything they offered for 20 years. Her whole house was wall to wall stuff from what she ordered. It took her heirs over a month to clear out everything that was stacked to the ceiling. They say she could not say no to any offers cuz she thought she was a winner or was to be the next big winner.

I think they caught up with technology, and they use the Internet now...
Remember that scene from the movie Erin Brokovich, where Ed Masry knocks on Erin's door, and I think she was waiting for Ed McMahon to show up at her door, but when she saw Masry, she went "Sorry, wrong Ed"...
Was it Ed McMahon Publisher's Clearning house used in the past to walk up to people's doors and tell them they won something?

LOL.. I hope they drive up to my house, and NOT through it!
If you live on a boat, they'll swim up to it... in an Apartment, they'll scale the side of the building and show up on your balcony, and a trailer park, they'll drive up to it in a beat up old Chevy truck...
I have only known one person who actually won something from them. My next door neighbor's daughter won $10,000 back in the 80s. She was just out of college, so the money was really appreciated! Of course, that wasn't the grand prize . . . but still, it was a nice surprise.

When I was helping to clear out my Dad's condo a few weeks ago I found out he was hooked on PCH and RD promotions. He had more cheap calculators, cheap watches and other plastic doo dads than you could shake a fist at. fortunately, my sister caught on and put a stop to it when she took over his finances.
