Today's Question(s):

When you are driving on a highway, do you typically go
The speed limit ? The speed limit or a little slower (circumstantial)

5 mph over ?
10 mph over ?
zoom zoom ?

Bonus Question:

Does your TV "tease you" by airing commercials for stores or restaurants that are not in your area ? That does not "tease" me.

It's irritating.

Some of them would be ? "Long John Silver's"...which is not in my area and I am happy it's not in my area.

Extra Credit Question:

When it comes to marriage I guess you could say I am a bit "old fashioned".

Just for Fun:

We have gotten to know each other over the past couple years,so thought it would be fun to find out

Which QOTD family member would you like to swap places with for the day ? What the heck is a QOTD family member? Guessing from what I see in other posts in this thread, do you mean a City-Data member?

Oh ok you can pick 3 None.

Today in History:

1775 - United Colonies change name to United States So what.
1929 - Vatican City becomes a sovereign state Who cares.
1937 - The cover of "LIFE" magazine showed the latest in campus fashions of the times which included saddle shoes. Gee. Really?
1955 - 1st President to appear on color TV, Eisenhower WOW! Golly!!!
1955 - "$64,000 Question" premieres on CBS TV Now that's just one of the most amazing things I have ever been told.
1965 - Sony Corp introduced its home video tape recorder, priced at $995 (and only in black & white). Okay....so?
1972 - "Grease" opens at Broadhurst Theater New York City for 3,388 performances Yeah. And Mr. Ed was on a few times, too.
1993 - Prince celebrated his birthday by changing his name to a symbol
This must be the most lame one of all. I mean, wow. Like, "Bret Michaels can write the Lord's Prayer on the head of a pin!" O-M-G!

I'll bet the supermarket is having a terrible time trying to keep enough hot dogs and hamburgers on the refrigerator shelves due to the millions of BBQ's being conducted to celebrate these important
landmark occasions.

Around the neighborhood I stick to the speed limit but on the highway it's "zoom zoom" or get run over.

Bonus Question:

Does your TV "tease you" by airing commercials for stores or restaurants that are not in your area ? No, that would be too much.

Some of them would be ?

Extra Credit Question:

10 mph over ?

Depends on which highway.
The one I use to and from work I typically go the speed limit.
The one I use to drive the long distance between my house and my BF's house I go anywhere from the speed limit, to 5-over to close to 10 over in some spots. Depending on the time of day, weather conditions, and where I am. Also kinda depends on if I'm paying attention to the speedometer or not and how heavy my foot is that day.
I try not to go any more than about 7-over though.

Bonus Question:

Does your TV "tease you" by airing commercials for stores or restaurants that are not in your area ? Yes, sometimes.

Some of them would be ?
Dairy Queen and Sonic. The closest one of either is about 4 hours away.

1. Alaskan Mutt-because I've never been to Alaska (hopefully I would get along with his security moose). If he's on the road for the day chances are I probably haven't been there either...LOL.

2. Anybody from Florida-(Nomad, Karla, etc.) because I've never been to Florida and I've always wanted to go there.

3. Gue- because I've never been to Long Island-summer day in the Hamptons!!...I'd have to remember to take some serious cash to hang out on that end of the island...LOL.

...or anyone else that lives somewhere I've never been too!

When it comes to FOOTBALL!!!!! I would make a pretty good Coach ?

Let's just say, I know the game very well...LOL.

The original pair of blue jeans that Levi Strauss made had a copper rivet in the crotch seam. And one night when old Levi was squatting right by the campfire, he suddenly realized that it was not such a terribly good idea to have a piece of metal in that precise location. So ever since, Levi's blue jeans have had rivets in all the other high-stress seam corners EXCEPT that one!
I guess they were the original "hot pants"
I think those guys sat a little to close to the fire.

Today's Question(s):

I go about 5 mph over the speed limit. Fast drivers are "ticket catchers." Thanks, guys!

Bonus Question:

Our TV is very well behaved in this way.

Hey all. I've been asleep since this morning and I'm finally ready to start my day.

Today's Question(s):

When you are driving on a highway, do you typically go
The speed limit ?

5 mph over ?
10 mph over ?
zoom zoom ?
I don't think 10 over is excessive on the highway, 5 definitely isn't. I tend to go 5 to 10 and maybe 15 over depending on conditions wherever I drive. I used to be a zoom zoom everywhere all the time type person, but being a passenger in a car accident last year really really made me alot more cautious and alot safer.

Bonus Question:

Does your TV "tease you" by airing commercials for stores or restaurants that are not in your area ?
Umm, yeah I think so. But it could be I just haven't kept up with new businesses moving into the area.
Some of them would be ?
Commercials for Sonic, which did move into the region in 2007 but not into the state I'm living in. But, I think they either did finally open one here very recently, or they're about to. The commercials are suppose to get you excited I guess.

Extra Credit Question:

When it comes to_________ I guess you could say I am a bit "old fashioned" ?
Hmm, lottsa stuff. Like maybe all the social networking stuff. I could never really get into all that like myspace, and facebook and tweeting and everything. For my age, 19, that's kinda weird, I was barely halfway done with high school when myspace came out and all the other kids were getting all into it. It just really really doesn't interest me at all.

Just for Fun:

We have gotten to know each other over the past couple years,so thought it would be fun to find out

Which QOTD family member would you like to swap places with for the day ?

Oh ok you can pick 3
I don't feel qualified to answer this. I don't think anyone'd like to switch with me anyway.

When it comes to ________ I would make a pretty good Coach ?
Umm, not alot. I'm a really smart girl, but usually too impatient to be a good teacher.
