I have spent the last 2 days building a papier-mâché elephant with my son, and baking tons of cupcakes. Doesn't get more exciting than that!

Aw school project? I used to love making projects with my mom. However I got mad when she would take them over. She was amazingly crafty and I had to have a parent-teacher conference in kindergarden because of my subpar cutting skills. They still haven't improved. Oh well.

Ha! I had subpar cutting skills and so did both of my sons. We all made it through life!

An Odyssey of the Mind project. My son is super smart, but a ditz at the same time, but I do enjoy doing these types of things with the kids. Yeah, it's a tough lesson that must be learned, how to take a step back, and not let your controlling self take over.

I love paper-mache. There's something wanderful about creating from all that goopiness.

I dunno, I think this may be a deal-breaker for me. I generally have nothing but disdain for those with subpar cutting skills, and don't think I should compromise my principles now.

You sound like my color theory teacher. She made me come in for an X-Acto knife lesson last year. The whole reason I went into fashion marketing and not design was because I really can't cut!

I am really awesome at drawing curves in illustrator. So suck on that!

We never did it at home. I did it in art class tho.

My mom loved to tie-dye. I still have a bunch of shirts from when I was about 12 and she would take us into the yard in the summer. Though one time I spilled the dye on my leg and it was blue for the longest time.

We just popped popcorn for the first time with our popcorn popper we got for Christmas. I thought it was going to be a waste of cupboard space but it's actually quite awesome.

Anybody want some popcorn?
