I'm going to go ahead and say it. txt, if you hadn't quit your job, you'd have money to buy a new lap top cord oh wait... I'm sure you have an excuse for this too...
I don't have an excuse for it but even if I was working, do you know how much they cost? $80 -$100. Even the iGo stuff, cheapest is like $60 IF it fits your laptop that is. That's a lot to shell out for one item and on my paychecks I sure couldn't afford that.

Is your computer still under warrantee? Do you have a Mac? If you have had it for less than a year their will give you a new cord. If you have Apple care you can also get a new cord. If you live in New York you can come to the Apple store at 3 am for a new cord like I did.
I asked my DD8 what she would like to do today, she could choose anything at all. She chose thrift store shopping, take-outs, and a movie at home. The apple/tree thingie. Anyway we pretty much bought her entire summer wardrobe at the thrift store for $75 bucks. Nice brands too.
I loved thrift stores. The clothes were mostly brand new with tag still on them.
I was my sister's personal shopper for her children's clothing. I'd go to the thrift stores and buy entire wardrobes for each of her children for approximately $75 per child.
Sadly, all of the good thrift stores have closed down in my region because they can make money selling the clothes on the internet now.
I have not seen Fair Game, I'm assuming it's the Valeria Plame debacle? Tragic disregard for life.
