In this situation, how would you react? Would you be ok with it?

Why wouldn't you be okay with it? That sounds pretty normal.

I'd have no issue with that.

Depends on the individuals involved.

This seems very normal and common, not a problem at all.

Probably every one of us knows a couple who started dating at about that age. My own parents started dating at 15 and 17, and they ended up being married for 54 years before my mom died.

Actually as the parent of a young man it can be worrisome when they suddenly turn 18 and are now dating a 'minor'. The parents of my son's gf didn't approve of my son dating their daughter, I was terrified they might decide to claim statutory rape once he officially became an adult. For me 17 &19 would be iffy, but once they are both at least 18 it's fine.

In the majority of states, they are above the legal "age of consent."

They could also fall within the so-called "Romeo and Juliet" laws.

This is sad but it happens. 2-3 years should not matter but if the girl is under 18 and her parents don't like the boy then it can be a big problem.

It depends on the people and their parents.
