Hi my friends!
We are going to the states in august and are planning to drive trough Pennsylvania from 21st-24th August. Starting from Niagara Falls in the direction to Washington. As we are driving trough different places we would love to experience food and beer festivals in the real american way! So is there anyone in this forum that can recommend cites/places to visit along the way?
Thank you!

I would definitely recommend stopping in small Centre Hall for The Great Grange Fair...also know as the Centre County Grange Fair. It's as American as you can possibly get. You won't find any beer there, but food will be aplenty! Grange Fair is different than your average county fair because it is HUGE and people live there for the week. Yes, you can walk through rows and rows of texts and RVs to see the people that have been camping at the fair for generations. I believe it's the only fair of it's kind left in America. Visit the farm animals, watch one of the animal shows, tour the hobby exhibits, eat lots of food, catch a country music concert, rode some rides, play some bingo. It is a great time and I would definitely consider visiting it! It runs this year from August 22-29.

I also really like this video of the fair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UOt7FK5_NA

Default Stoudt's Microfest Beer Festival

In Adamstown on Saturday August 24 is the Stoudt's Brewery Microfest. For $40 they have unlimited beer sampling plus food, plus music, plus a free shuttle to and from nearby lodging... It's $25 if you buy your ticket in advance. Stoudt's is known for its good craft beer, and the Black Angus Restaurant on site makes excellent food, so I think this would be a good stop. Plus, the beer tends to have a high alcohol content so the free shuttle might be a good idea Here's the website Stoudt's - Events

If you're passing through Pennsylvania, I think Adamstown would be a good place to stay as it is a beautiful rural area that is convenient to highways and Philadelphia and Lancaster County cultire. Welcome!
