I don't know real estate prices offhand but Society Hill is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city, comparable in price with Rittenhouse Square, Fitler Square and Chestnut Hill. Prepare yourself for a mortgage in the high six figures if not even seven.

On the plus side, if you can afford it, then you will be living in one of the most beautiful and historical neighborhoods in the area with all the conveniences of Center City.

Check out Queens Village,Bella Vista, Fitler Square, Spring Garden,Spruce HIll. Similar to Soceity HIll and you will be able to save some cash. Chestnut Hill and West Mt Airy are also incredible philadelphia neighborhoods although most are single family homes and mansions.

A couple other options in the area are West Chester and the Mainline towns.
