Does anyone know of any good catering halls in the northeast section of PA?? I'm not sure of all the town names but anything in the pocono area. I'm moving to Hawley but I have family in Staten Island. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

In the Hawley area itself there is The Settlers Inn and also Ehrhardt's (sp?) on Rt. 507. I have been to Ehrhadt's for for several dinners. My sister's prom was there a few years ago and she said it was really nice. I'm sure there are many options between the Honesdale and Scranton (Genetti's) area, but depending on the size of your party and your budget, your best bet it going to be getting out the yellow pages, check the prices, and go and see the places in person. Many of the hotels in the area have banquet facilities, also.

Scranton itself is also home to many more "exclusive" types of halls, including the Green Ridge Club and the facilities at the Scranton Hilton and the historic Radisson/Lackawanna Station Hotel. This would be roughly a 45-minute drive or so from the Hawley/Wallenpaupack area. Ehrhardt's is a good bet right in Hawley itself.

Ehrhardt's gets my vote too, it's on Lake Wallenpaupack, it is scnic, has good food, decent prices and private rooms for large affairs or small.

Mount Haven in Milford does weddings; they have a restaurant and lodging, and the food is good.

On second thought...since you have family coming in from Staten Island, perhaps one of the hotels in Scranton, so your relative would have a place to stay. The Radisson Lackawanna Station Htel, The Hilton Hotel, or the one right of Rt. 84 in Dunmore, the names escapes me...
Might be a bit pricey, but I wonder if Woodloch does weddings. They are in the outskirts of Hawley.

Mt Haven does have good food, but don't ever stay overnight there. Its a dirty roach motel.
