May be moving to Philly from NYC - looking for advice on neighborhood - want upscale, loft-like apts, safe, ability to walk to restaurants, etc - also LOVE outdoor activities (hiking, biking, skiing, golf, etc), so any advice on where I might be able to imbibe....I have a car and pets, so need pet friendly and in-bldg parking. Will be reverse commuting to Wayne area. Looking for something like the upper east side of NYC - friends suggested Rittenhouse/Washington Sq - any suggestions?

Rittenhouse will be closest to upper east side. WashWest would also be worth looking into. however, for loft apartments, you will probably find more in old city (ie. converted factories). the reverse-commute to wayne via 76 will be rough.

Wayne near 202 or Lancaster Ave?
You may want to consider 600 and 640 north broad. Loft style apartments and 600 north broad was just built and is just now leasing.
