Well like I said before I'm originally from the Midwest region (Michigan) and I grew up seeing nothing but freestanding houses so I'm that's what I'm accustomed to. They just seem much more appealing to me than row homes. I feel cramped in a row home as I'm living in one now in the Metro Atlanta area.

There's just not enough space between me and my next door neighbors. As soon as I walk outside I see them they see me, they want to hold an all day conversation (I'm not antisocial I'm just not that talkative). When they listen to music I can hear it through the walls, they bump the walls I can hear it, they scream I can hear them. Other neighbors, mostly teenagers like to hang out on my porch steps for some strange reason even though I've told them repeatedly to please don't chill on my porch but they do it anyway. I just want my own space where I can have my own privacy and not feel so cramped. I want MY OWN front and back yard and MY OWN driveway.

Sounds like you need either the suburbs or a better urban neighborhood.

I know Philly is an oooold city so there are a lot of row houses there and I absolutely hate row houses, well for living. I'm from the Midwest and I'm used to freestanding houses all around. I need my house to have space from the next house to breathe, my own front and backyard and driveway. If there are any in Philly which parts of the city are they in and how affordable are they? Are they close to the subway lines? Are near Center City? Thanks.
Not at all, Philadelphia has a wide variety of different types of housing. Wynnefield/Overbrook areas for example has a ton of single houses.

You might just hate it in Philly then. There are some houses that aren't attached, in the city proper, but their yards are like 3-5 ft on the sides, you'd have to live out in the burbs to get some land.

Agreed...lots of single homes in the Far Northeast section of the city. Consider Somerton too...they have a train station that would also be accessible for the Bustleton area.
