Planning to buy new construction home in Philly suburbs and doing the preliminary research on builders..

Forino, Ryan Home, Toll builders are topping the charts when it comes to negative feedback and awful experiences both from online reviews and speaking to some of their home owners.

Are there any builders that are recommended to go with? Please advise who to stay away from and who to go with.

I am not able to find much on Cedar Knoll, Rouse Chamberlin and not sure who else is out there..

I've heard great things about Greth Homes, but they are far for me in Reading as I work in KOP area and need to go to Center City also often.

TIA

Is David Cutler still building in PA? I was in one of his townhouse developments and didn't have any serious probs.

thanks for your response.
Did you had any minor problems? Are they due to normal wear and tear or due to constructional flaws? Can

Note that the general Pennsylvania forum may be a better place to ask about Berks County as that area is arguably outside of the Philadelphia metro and therefore isn't discussed much on this sub-forum.

No, it was new construction when I bought it, and I don't remember anything but minor punchlist items. Soundproofing was good. Their on-site sales agent, however, was misleading about the depth of the common area behind the townhouse. (Told me a developer owned the wooded land behind the townhouses, but that nothing could be built 25' in, which seemed like it would still maintain a privacy screen. It was actually 25' from the back of my house, which basically just covered the lawn. A developer put houses there and the idiot who bought the house behind me took down all the brush between the trees, ergo removing any privacy whatsoever.)
