Pretty funny people from Miami would consider Philly dangerous when Miami has higher crime across the board than Philadelphia does.

Strike one: Weraring a sports jersey somewhere other than a sporting event or sports bar.

Strike two: Wearing a backwards ball cap at an age older than 12.

Strike three: Wearing high-top shoes at an age older than 12.

Here's hoping the people at Drexel University can fix the HitchBOT, so then we can learn two more things about this social experiment:

1. There are good and bad people everywhere.

2. Blaming geography for this mishap is simple-minded.

With that said, there does seem to be a disturbing undercurrent in "Philly bro" culture where they either a) try to justify antisocial behavior by claiming that everybody expects it, or b) try to prove they don't give a **** about other people's opinions by doing exactly what people criticize Philadelphians for. It's not funny; it's not impressive, and it's not excusable.

The best way to explode a stereotype is by behaving in a manner that directly violates it. The dip**** who smashed the HitchBOT did nothing but reinforce it. Congratulations to him for being a walking stereotype.

Yeah it's looking like this may just be a big hoax. The news was just saying that no one actually knows where Hitchbot is now, no one has seen him, etc.

Was video of hitchBOT attack part of a prank?
