I don't even count that "championship" because it pre-dates the super bowl. Who gives a **** about that now when most of the people in Philly weren't even born! I was 11 years old then and now I'm 68!!!!

I've said it before...a lot of the Negadelphia stuff stems, imo, from our loser and/or mediocre sports teams. Not just one of them but all of them. It's a miracle anyone cares at all about these teams.
What??? I've been an Eagles fan since 1979 when my son was born. They've certainly brought us some good sustained winning "eras" and we went to the Superbowl twice, even if we didn't win it. They aren't the Browns or a team like Buffalo, who hasn't had a good team since the Jim Kelly era.

I'm not as into baseball, but in that time the Phillies have also had some good eras and won two World Series.

How ridiculous to say it's a miracle anyone cares about our teams.

I don’t say this to smirk because I’m not happy about Wentz’s injury, but at least now they don’t have to choke. They have a legitimate reason to not win.

No need to get sanctimoniousness. This is a more than bad injury for him especially for such a young guy. He may be plagued with knees problems for a very long time.

Obviously people care. I care! If I didn't care I wouldn't have started this thread.

The Phillies(I am a fan usually) are one of the oldest teams in major league baseball(created in 1883). Two championships in 134 years. Wow! Ironically the winningest team in Philadelphia history does not exist here anymore and hasn't in 63 years.

I think the Eagles own tiebreakers against Minnesota, so it wouldn't matter as long as the Birds win at least two of three.

What you call sanctimony, I call appropriate perspective.

We know that. What's wrong with what he said?

I'm too young to have been an A's fan. Plus, I have always been partial to National League teams.
