Yeah I figured... some boards alert the thread owner if a comment was made... Thanks for the tips... They do allow wedding photography, or ceremonies across in the other garden, so I am hoping to talk to someone there and explain that we won't bring any furniture in (aside from the possibility of one small folding chair - of course we can give it up if they insist - for his grandmother if necessary), and be in and out in less than a half hour... with less people than the photography allows... here's hoping. Otherwise, I am all for eloping ... not a planner.

Default holy history

WOW how weird, this is my post from two years ago and I stumbled on it because of a strange time in my wedding planning life. I've been sort of lightly pressured into a certain idea of what my wedding should be (we finally had a date set for January...long engagement) and just this night I had enough of the planning and the stress. Luckily for me nothing was set in stone yet as far as contracts are concerned.

Reading this, I am reaffirmed about what our wedding was/is supposed to feel like....fun, light, casual. Not a planning circus. I bumped our date to July and decided to go with a city hall wedding and a party at a favorite bar afterwards...I call it, our f--ck it get together. HAHAHA.

I am not a planner. I don't need this crap. I want to wear and white poofy dress and marry my fiance with our close friends by us. That's it.

for the 18th century garden (and other NPS areas) go to Independence National Historical Park - Special Use Permits (U.S. National Park Service), there is a small fee depending on the size of your party. they are on a first come first serve basis - so get your date in early.
