They're all pretty much the same in the safety, commute, septa categories.

Lansdale/North Wales, Fort Washington/Upper Dublin, Blue Bell, Plymouth Meeting, King of Prussia, Radnor, Bryn Mawr

Lansdale is just way out of the loop on many fronts, as well as a few others you mentioned
here's my list though. all of these have decent school systems
-plymouth meeting - everything you want, the nicest and most balanced by a long shot, plus will give you the most disposable income out of the ones i'd even think are WORTH mentioning
-king of prussia - a mix of classes. currently overpriced. not bad, but not great
-bryn mawr - overrated, but could suit your needs. might have a hard time finding a home woth elbow room on your budget, certainly if you have kids
-radnor - way overrated....stuff happens at their HS that well, you wouldnt want your kid going there

fyi, i grew up in the area. most of the people on this board did not

All these places are relatively safe with relatively solid public schools. In terms of jobs and accessibility to CC,here's my humble opinion:

1. King of Prussia-lots of job opportunity, blue route and 76 access, you will get a nice home
2. Plymouth Meeting-good schools,can find a nice home,access to CC(also look at Lafayette Hill)
3. Bryn Mawr-jobs( healthcare or education),access to CC,good schools, not likely to find home
4. Blue Bell-lovely,just not convenient to CC;unsure of jobs, schools are good
5. Upper Dublin-good schools, not likely to find home under 350k,not sure of jobs
6. Lansdale-not sure of schools,North Wales is nice with lots of shops/job opportunity, not too familiar with Lansdale-beware of some spots, will get a home for under 350k
7. Radnor-you will not find a home here, not sure of jobs, schools are good

update
Lansdale is in THE best school system local to here, and they have a train that will bring you to center city, but its the longest commute out of all of the places you listed, and i think the most boring person would be bored out of their mind there. its a small town with alot of little festival things that bring the whole community together for events, but, you'll have to see for yourself
it's missing personality, a heartbeat, and a soul

That's a pretty unique opinion.

Cutting out Radnor, Bryn Mawr (over-rate or way over-rated!); cutting out Blue Bell (not convenient to CC)

In the following areas:
Lansdale/North Wales, Fort Washington/Upper Dublin, Plymouth Meeting, King of Prussia
I would like to know of:
street names or sub-divisions (350K-400K), apartments/townhouses for initial move/rent

Thanks a ton for the insight that only natives / long time residents can offer!

Relative school rankings:
Tredyffrin
Central Bucks
Radnor
Lower Merion
New Hope
Council Rock
Upper Dublin
Upper Merion

Finding the inexpensive home will be the challenge. You should probably rent for a year and wait until things settle in the markets...
