Fox 10 news did a video segment early this morning on the Val Vista Lakes Christmas lights on Holiday Mountain. They interviewed the HOA president Ron Norwood who invited everyone to come on out to visit. A link to the segment is below.

People from all over the valley visit every year and many bring their visiting friends and relatives to see the lights.

On Saturday and Sunday Santa is usually present, but this year some of our Santa volunteers are out of town, so we don't know yet how often Santa will be present.

They didn't take a wide view of the mountain so the video does not show the true beauty of the display. Soon I'll take a video of it and have it on YouTube and in a blog. I'll post a link to the YouTube video.

Admission is some can food for the Food Bank. If you can't afford to donate some canned food, come on out anyway. You will be welcome. No one is refused admission.

On Dec 3 and 4, I'll be manning the concession stand where you can get hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies for the bargain price of $0.50 each. The proceeds go to help offset the lights expense.

If you come out on Dec 3 or 4 between 6 and 9 pm be sure to say hello and let me know you're from C-D.

From Highway 60 and Val Vista Drive: Go south on Val Vista Drive. Cross Baseline and proceed to the second light and turn left on Lakeside Dr. Take the first left into the clubhouse parking lot.

You'll see the lights before getting to Lakeside Dr.

Sounds fun! I'll probably go. I have relatives who live in Val Vista Lakes
