Good to hear it's perking up a little bit. Guess I need to get off the beaten path to see someone swinging a hammer. Went through Verrado a few weeks ago and there is a lot of land but only saw a few houses that looked like they were still in the building stage.

I see TONS of new homes going up around me in the Southeast part of the Valley. If you're asking about something on the scale of Eastmark, the only one I can think of near me is Adora Trails. It is a big master planned community that is very popular in the Riggs and Higley area....it's a Gilbert address but Chandler schools. Has a nice elementary on site.

I see other smaller communities in Queen Creek going up. Additionally, the Town of QC will be reviewing proposals for 6 new subdivisions: Queen Creek, AZ : 2013 General Plan Amendments

There's a Maracay subdivision (Villagio) and Meritage (Victoria) starting in the Queen Creek Rd and Hawes area- one on each road.

The Bridges of Gilbert and Marbella Vineyards are both new developments in the same area...around Higley and Queen Creek Rd/Ocotillo.

I'm sure there's more, but that's just what I see in my daily travels!

The Southeast is a happenin' place right now!! Builders see new home buying pick up in East Valley - East Valley Tribune: Real Estate

I'm not surprised. It is really far east. It seems like the mentality has changed from years past. People seem to be prioritizing location more these days. In the past, people didn't seem to care about distance as much as long as the community was new and nice.
