70's are tolerable if the sun is shining. 40s at night is too cold. I am not enjoying bundling up!

I moved here for the heat, not this COLD stuff Not enjoyable to you, but what I am waiting for!

I don't know...I'd say getting in the pool something enjoyable about summer.

The 70s aren't "too cold" for me but not warm enough either. If I had my way it would be 80-85 year round! Having spent decades of summers in AZ I guess I've found my "way to make it bearable" and that's mostly by just not thinking about it. lol Last summer I got sooo tired of hearing people gripe about how hot it was. I finally lost my patience and told them, "Yes, it's hot. It's Summer...in ARIZONA!!!". Don't know what they expected!

Right now I'd say it's just about perfect in the Verde Valley. Don't need the heater or the cooler and it's just nice. I will enjoy it while I can. And be thankful for AC later!

It will come...be patient. lol I'm glad we are usually about ten degrees cooler than Phoenix although when you guys hit 115 and it's 105 here...well, that's HOT no matter where ya are. lol Sometimes ten degrees doesn't make that much difference. BUT if I want to go even cooler I can head up Mingus Mtn. or to Flagstaff. Maybe Prescott. I'm fortunate to have those places to 'escape' to whenever I want and close by.

When the water is 95 degrees? Again, that's bearable not enjoyable.

IN a place where it is cbery humid, no. That is too warm. But here, where it is dry and the dew point is low, warmer water is wonderful!

Maybe you should make it through a summer here before you decide what is wonderful and what isn't. Most people find their 95 degree pools too warm (myself included) and many take steps to cool them down (aerators, ice, covers, shade, etc.)

While the low humidity makes it feel cooler when you get out of the pool, when you're in the water the humidity has no bearing on how 95 degree water feels.

Average day is May 16th though. But I still think we are going to hit 100 in April this year.

Once it got warm enough to swim last year, my pool was never uncomfortably warm. I ran the aerator at night in July and August and the water was perfect just about all summer. Even when it's warm, it's still refreshing when you get out. It's actually possible to feel cold (for a second or three) when it's 110 outside. I'll be temped to run the heater for a day when we get into the mid nineties.

Next month at this time I'll be just a couple hours away from floating around and drinking brewskis! I say, bring it on!
