Walmart Supercenter to open at Phoenix Metrocenter mall

Is this good news for the mall? The north side of the mall has been getting a lot of development the past few years but the south has been kind of dead. Also, a Conn's just opened up where Toys R Us used to be.

Wal-Mart helped get Christown back to life. Pretty surprised since Metro is so close to Christown, the stores will only be about 10 minutes apart.

Maybe. I go to Christown frequently but have never been inside of WalMart.

This will probably result in the closure of the Kmart at I 17 and Northern.

I was thinking the demise of Sears, Macy's et al.

Just when I thought that the movie theatre couldn't possibly get worse at MetroCenter.....

I think it's a stupid waste of space honestly. I mean how many Walmarts do we seriously need there's one down the street on 35th&Bethany and there's one on 59th&Bell then there's a Walmart Neighborhood Market on 51st&Olive. They should bring back the indoor skate park if anything.
