I expect there are plenty of people who don't understand why people want to live in Mississippi!

In pic #7 it looks like metal poles? So I guess APS and SRP putting those in didn't help much? They fall over just like the old wooden ones!

Used to live in Mobile, Baton Rouge and worked a lot in Lafayette and New Orleans, plus lived in FL. I'll take the desert, heat-dust-critters and all over the deep south any day. Non-stop bad hair years

Although I do miss hurricane season, it's kinda fun watching the weather forecasters get all worked up over a hurricane.

Sounds like they get all giddy when there's a haboob - or even a rain storm, so you will get a little of that. I know I won't miss watching the winter storm warnings from November through March!

My friend wants to get some good footage of a flash flood in a wash we are trying to get the right shots with some go pro cameras. Problem is last good storm was at night so not much to see. Were trying to work something out where we can lower a camera in the wash from high ground get it before it floods.

If you guys haven't seen this Maricopa county has a rain gauge online you can monitor the storms and actually see where the flood is. Last year I hit a good one on greenway and about tatum whole neighborhood was flooded to the front doors. Water was spraying out of the man hole covers.

FCDMC ALERT Google Data Display Map
The color codes refer to the water rates I have yet to see flash flood alert yet I haven't been on this until last year.
