I guess that's our silver lining for this year. At least we weren't da Bears!

I'm a diehard Cards fan, so there is no chance of me rooting for the Seahawks and their bandwagon fans.

Mostly don't care (baseball fan). But you gotta take sides to make it interesting. When I do care I root for Lions, (DC team), Cardinals. I don't dislike either of the Super Bowl teams. I am a University of Michigan alum, so I have to go with Tom Brady's team.

Where is the "who cares, can't wait for it to be over" button on this poll?

Who is the host city backing? Patriots or Seahawks?
Hard to say what host cities do. People in general have too many variables when their own team is not in it.

People have differing reasons for who they will support. They'll back a team because a friend or relative lives in a team's city, or hate the team because of a player or coach they hate! Fans are either hardcore, fairweather or bandwagon fans.

Since the Cardinals were a transplant team, it took quite a while for me to climb on their bandwagon, so I now basically follow what they do. Before that, I was somewhat into west coast teams (Raiders, Broncos and somewhat into the Dallas Cowboys), always flipping and jumping up on the next non-Arizona bandwagon.

Never got into the Santa Clara 49ers or the Saint Phillip Bolts. Never could get excited about Seattle and its own brand of bandwagon fans. So... this particular year I'm going to support the always controversial Foxboro Patriots. Go, Foxboro!

It's not like the Cardinals don't have mostly bandwagon fans. I think that is true of any city where the population growth is from somewhere else. Nevertheless, the Seahawks are division rivals and they do not deserve our support whether they, or we, are bandwagon fans or not (especially in our house). I hope they are humbled by NE. There are few teams that need to be humbled more.
