No, Peoria is further to the west and north. Arrowhead is a large development in Glendale. It is an upscale area of homes built around a series of interconnecting man made lakes (more like canals). You can look up homes and info by searching for Arrowhead Ranch Glendale AZ.

other states (e.g., CA and TX) post statistics and/or ratings of schools. Does AZ do this? it helps get away from the subjective a bit and provides some objective criteria.

What are the best suburbs around Phoenix ? I am looking for good schools as we have three kids ( 9 6 and 4) and a nice safe area. We are coming from NJ. I have never been to Arizona but I have been warned its hot. It looks gorgeous to me and we are looking for a change.

The job would be at n 27th Ave zip 85027

Thank you for your help
85027 would be the Deer Valley area. I'd agree with Ponderosa and suggest the Arrowhead area of north Glendale ... it would be a pretty easy commute westbound on the 101, and not too far from your work. Keep in mind that the traffic might be on the thick side on the 101 and on the Arrowhead surface streets during rush hour. Otherwise, even Deer Valley might be a decent place to live, although it's more hit & miss around there. It would be a lot closer to your work.

This is a matter of opinion, but the best schools are the private institutions. Paying the extra money is usually well worth it in the long run because your kids receive the best education in a private school compared to public. Moving from NJ, you will find the overall cost of living is better here (especially housing), so the cost of private education may not be out of reach.
