My boys are with me for the summer from back east, and they're bored out of their mind. We usually find free fun things to do back home like bike riding, baseball or other outdoor activities. Since thats' not really an option here in PHX, they're stuck indoors.
We've hit the skate park a few times in the evenings, but seems like anything with AC indoors costs lots of money. They don't enjoy walking around the mall window shopping like me....lol
Any suggestions?

Free:
McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale

Not Free (but not particulalry expensive either):
Phoenix Children's Museum

If your kids are over the age of 12, they may not care for either. But if they're 12 and under, they'll love both.

Look at this link:

Free Children's Activities in Phoenix - Free Things To Do in Phoenix

The classes at Home Depot sound FUN, I hope this info is current. The candy company tour sounds good, too.

Take a hike under a full moon. There should be one this week. My kids loved the trails around Squaw Peak, sorry I don't know the new name.

Get a free Culture Pass at many libraries. It's good for lots of freebies - museums, zoo, gardens, etc.
