Are there parks or trails or whatever that allow you to rent snowmobiles in the area? Area being Pittsburgh into WV up towards and past Butler?

Moving up here from SC has been a pretty good experience. My 2 sons that still reside in SC will be coming in DEC and they are into skateboarding and motorsports would really be interested in something like this.

In the Laurel Highland and areas north of I-80 should have plenty considering they are the lucky ones who get all of the good lake effect snow.

I don't really know of any places that would rent you a snow mobile, due to the liability insurance issues and the fact that a inexperienced person on a snowmobile is going to do a lot of damage to a sled before they get the hang of it, and the people renting the snow mobiles would probably go in the hole renting them out.

I myself would probably look into Blue Knob - because they have skiing and a resort town and maybe they would have some type of snowmobile rental.

The place to go Snowmobile riding - would be Marionville - but you really couldn't do it until after Christmas. The deer hunters wouldn't put up with people in the woods making all kinds of noise during their deer season.

Once hunting season is out of the way, they open up the rails to trails and several paths to snowmobile riding and they allow you to ride your snowmobile right down the main street in Marionville. The Bar scene up there caters to snowmobilers'

You could easily ride a snowmobile from Leaper to Marionville, or from Brockway to Hallton.

Seven Springs Mountain Resort has snowmobile riding tours.
