Originally from Altoona, PA (1966)
Left for college (84) and lived in Lancaster County, PA for some time, then back to Altoona (88) where
I traveled back and forth to Pgh for years for night life and my business workings.
Moved permanently to Pgh in 2005
Got tired of the fast pace and "big city" life, but due to my businesses, can't leave all together, so I am back and forth between here and Lancaster County.

Pittsburgh's a "big city?" Really? I'm from suburban Virginia, and Pittsburgh feels smaller.

Compared to Altoona and Lancaster, most definitely!
Even at the height of the tourist season in Lanc which is pretty busy, traffic is way worse in Pgh.

Moved here from Lancaster County in 97 for college and have been here ever since, save for a year long stint back in Central PA. I thought I had missed "home" but quickly re-learned how boring it is. Turns out it took a break from Pittsburgh to make me realize how much I enjoy living here.

My wife and I moved here from Brooklyn, NY about 2 years ago (She grew up in the South Hills). After a few years of deliberation, Pittsburgh won the quality of life/cost of living debate we'd been having with ourselves for awhile. Glad we made the move to Point Breeze.
