West Park has bars and restaurants, a little business district and is right through the tunnel and a short way out Island Ave. to Neville Island. A couple of nudie bars, close but not too close to West Park, are on Island as well, if that kind of entertainment appeals to you.

I would look at the Central Northside - You can get to Neville Island quickly by taking 65W to 79S very simple and quick....Unless there's construction on 65 (I don't think so)....and to get to Ross just hop on the Parkway and you're there in 10mins (depending on what part of Ross)...

You will be bored on the West Side in the Area of Neville Island....Central Northside is convenient to just about everything in the city and beyond because of its Highway access.

actually there is construction on 65 now, near Marshall Ave. on the North Side.

If the OP is thinking about the North Side, Brighton Heights is an idea, as there is a business district near California and Termon.

Although from there, I'd cross the McKees Rocks Bridge and go out Island. There are a lot of traffic lights on 65, and it would be easier particularly if the OP is working near the south end of Neville Island.

The South Side isn't that far--that's our top young adults nightlife area.

Bellevue would be a super easy commute to work in Ross and Neville Island, and has a nice downtown with a few bars and restaurants; it is easy enough to get into town and over to southside. Enjoy Bellevue-Live-Worship-Shop-Work-Play-Bellevue PA

I was going to suggest Bellevue as well--however it has 0 bars as it is a dry town. Not much night life for a 25 year old.

Lawrenceville would make for a 1/2 hour commute each way.

the construction on 65 is a non-issue as the detour is smooth. central northside, southside, and even mt.washington would be my neighborhood recommendations. good places to hang out, lots of action, and accessible to neville island.

central northside, millvale (near sidelines bar and grill), and lawrenceville would be your best for a location in between ross twp and neville island.

good luck.
