What's this, a commercial district with a narrow road and tough traffic? Nah, never heard of that anywhere else...must be Pittsburgh.

The traffic isn't "tough". It's a lot of people who make it unnecessarily tough by not making smart decisions in traffic.

Apparently it takes over 39 thousand people over 3 hours to leave a baseball game. I could not believe how backed up traffic was on 376 East on my way home at 7:15pm. Oakland was bad too.

You have to take the WHOLE Xanax tablet, stop cutting it in half.

Seriously, it takes that long? We went to a game late last July and parked at the casino; once we got to the casino parking garage, it took me no more than 20 minutes to get home.

And yes I know it didn't literally take people three hours to get home, but I can't believe traffic should have been backed up that bad so long after the game. I can understand the first hour after it letting out.

Sure is nice to live in a neighborly area. I feel pride and not negative. I suggest you move to DC or the NYC/NJ area. I think the aggressive driving style you like would be more suited to your style. I don't know if I ever heard anyone complain about someone letting another driver in. You are probably one of those people that doesn't let a car merge in when there is a huge orange sign that clearly states, "merge point, take your turn". I have almost run into others in that situation, since I merge no matter what. Being polite is a good thing! It really is!

It was way more than 39K people. Lots of young folk go to the city to watch the game and get into the atmosphere. When the game is over, they head home as well. You should be riding your bike to avoid traffic anyway.

If I lived in any of the areas you mentioned, my car would rarely ever leave it's garage. And we'd probably get down to one car.

I have this radical philosphy regarding merging. When I see a sign that says "lane ends 1000 feet" or a construction sign that says "lane closed 2 miles ahead" I merge immediately. There's no reason for people to speed up and wait till the last minute to merge.

I'm going by the attendance of the game.

So, you don't feel the signs that say, "use both lanes to merge point" mean anything and you do your own thing? If everyone just used both lanes to merge point and took their turn, there would be no thinking required. It is the idiots that slow down and merge early that cause the confusion instead of following the signs. I don't speed up to the merge point, I just go to the merge point and take my turn as clearly posted by the huge orange signs. Uggh, I hate when people merge right away in a panic and then don't follow the clearly posted signs of TAKE YOUR TURN!
