I like the McKees Rocks house. You're upgrading, but that was a nice little place.

Agreed.

Personally speaking, a garage would equal about one one-thousandth of the view from your new home. There's just no comparison. And that's not even mentioning how much more accessible all the lovely city amenities are.

People definitely value different things, haha.

Its amusing to hear people who don't spend any time outside in their yard and who mainly use their garage as storage for junk lecture my wife and I about how we need to have a place with both.

Your folks must be from outside the Northeast. I have friends from Ohio who freak out at how closely Pittsburgh is built. I tell them they'd love Philly. LOL!

The new house is a common type in Pittsburgh, and it has siblings all over the North and South Sides.

I SOOO need to visit Pittsburgh and find out for myself how much beautiful architecture it has.

While a garage tucked in back of the house somewhere might be nice to keep the ice off the windshield, a big yard and a garage the size of a multiplex theater is so what I would never, ever want to live in.

I can't wait to see how your projects come along AA.

Hmmm.... schedule your next trip to coincide with the open house, and you can check out one piece of cool architecture inside and out. But do everyone a favor and bring clothes... the minute a party becomes clothing optional, all the mosquitoes in the neighborhood start targeting in on that house.
