It might be hard to have this not turn to politics, but I thought it would be interesting if forumers shared their own voting experiences.

Went down to the Teamster Temple at around 7:15. There are three precincts within my polling place. Usually it's pretty sleepy - it was even in 2008. But this year it was packed. I dunno if this is an effect of election interest increasing locally, or the changes which have happened in Lawrenceville over the past four years. I was the 17th person to vote in my precinct.

Unlike primary time, there were no signs of any sort near the building, or people passing out leaflets.

It was packed where I voted also. Fortunately, my district had a relatively short line, but the other districts each had dozens of people in line. Still, I've never seen so many people voting and I've voted at this place at roughly this time since before 2008. There were people passing out slate cards and they were talking to decide how long they had to stay before they could get out of the cold.

I have a 7:30am-4pm team building event at work today so I won't get to vote until about 6pm. I'll let you know what it's like in San Francisco. I love election day!

All 3 presidential elections out where I live have had pretty good lines. I think 4 years ago we got there much earlier though so didn't have to wait very long, maybe 15-20 minutes. This time, arriving around 7:40, it took us around an hour to get through. Back in 2004 I also waited an hour.

It probably thins out in the middle of the day, not sure. Each of these times I went in the AM. Actually, in 2004 I went later in the AM I think and still had that long of a line.

I was #81 to vote in my precinct at a little after 8 am this morning. The line that I waited in was longer than any other previously but if I recall correctly I voted in the evening during the '08 election, so it's probably not an apples to apples comparison.

There's been a line only once at my precinct, and it was two people. I was voter #38 at about 8:05 this morning.

Went to what I thought was my polling place (Colfax) on the way to work today a little before 8am, there was a little bit of a line but not very crowded really. Apparently my polling place is actually elsewhere though, so will have to try again after work.

I was #31 around 7:30am this morning. I've never gone in the morning before though so I'm not sure what that means. I had to wait in a very brief line.

Was a short line at 7:15. Probably 10-15 people. The wait was about 5 minutes. People were complaining about not knowing which line to wait in. This was because we have two voting districts in our polling place.

I'm not one to rush things in before I get to work, so I'll be going after I get home. Just a quick walk around the corner to the old Park Place School.
