So tell me what is Pittsburgh night life like?

Fashion do you have a fashion week? What would you like to see in terms of fashion an shopping?

Walk around Shadyside on any given day, especially in the warmth of Spring or Summer and it's fashion week 24/7

You probably won't be overly thrilled with fashion in Pittsburgh. Fashion is a hard sell to the general Pittsburgher, especially high-fashion in which Pittsburgher's are extremely fickle.

We just don't want to pay for expensive clothing. Now, plop a high-end, up-scale, restaurant in Pittsburgh, no problem!! We have no problem spending a couple hundred bucks on great food with great friends and family at a great restaurant, but for a pair of shoes? Not likely.

That being said, there has been some success and I think Pittsburgher's are slowly warming up to high-fashion, thank god. We do have a very well established Saks downtown which actually does very well for itself (due to little competition). That might all change once Nordrom's gets here. Yep, our first Nordroms. I know, right?

That all being said, there ARE a lot of boutiques for ladies. Shadyside and downtown and Lawrenceville have several, some are VERY nice. In fact, when Debra Messing was here years ago shooting Mothman Prophecies, she found one in Shadyside that was in the news cause everyday she kept going back and buying more!!

Personally, I am an American Eagle, American Apparel, Express, and H&M kinda guy.

In terms of night life, the gay scene is just about as good as any city I've been to, and that's the truth. Even in my beloved city of Seattle, which has the second highest gay population in the country, has fairly lackluster gay clubs. Pittsburgh has some really nice bars and it's so inexpensive.

Straight bars are pretty much exclusively in the Southside, Strip, and possibly the Northshore, although Hi-Tops closed. I've been to a few, some are really cool, some not. There are QUITE a few, though, you're bound to find something for your taste.

Just don't come here from NYC expecting NYC, you will be badly disappointed. Then again, you won't have to take a loan out to go clubbing all weekend, that's a plus!

I'm an Electric LadyLand and Stash kind of gal. I doubt they have them in Pittsburgh. God, one can only *dream* that fashion will be brought up to date in Pittsburgh! I cannot WAIT until Nordstrom's opens up here! They have the very best customer service and carry my favorite perfume - FlowerBomb by Viktor Rolf! Yummy!

Oh please open a really cool, trendy shop!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!
And Please, NO Yellow and Black! LOL
