I don't listen to him anymore (or KDKA for that matter), but he's made quite a fixture of himself in the local media here in recent years. He tried his "gotcha" style of reporting down in Dallas in the 90's and wound up getting run out of town.

He deserves to be run out of town. Does anyone know if he's an alcoholic? The way he carries on on his radio show, he's like a dry drunk, at least, with his control issues.

Marty Griffin has got to be one of the sleaziest pieces of garbage in the media today, and as luck would have it he's stationed right here in Pittsburgh at KDKA. He's got this obnoxious "gotcha" type style of reporting that he masquerades as "civic" and "consumer advocating", but really it's for ratings and he doesn't give a rat's a$$ if he has to bend the truth or even lie at times for a story.

A couple of years ago he literally went after and pastor (not a priest) for....drum roll.....being seen outside of an adult book store. That's all Marty really had on him, but he hounded and literally stalked the poor man for days on end. A couple of days before KDKA aired the story, the pastor committed suicide in a hotel room.

The man ruins reputations and lives publicly for a living. He appears to have a deep-seated hatred for small businesses and anyone not associated with the Catholic church. Like I said before, he pulled the same kind of slimy tactics down in Dallas, and it wound up costing the station he worked for a couple of million in hush money, and his job (google it). Then the POS returns to Pittsburgh to find his true home.

He panders mostly to the aging yinzer entitlement class. Most of the losers who call into his show speak such thick Pittsburghese and are so ignorant that it renders them unintelligible. Instead of trying to move beyond this embarrassing stereotype of the Pittsburgh area, KDKA has chosen to fully embrace and coddle it via continuing to employ Marty Griffin and his cartoonish brand of vigilante journalism.
