The Stillers are 8-8 at best, so not sure what all the fuss is about. They are are and have been a mediocre football team. Most likely they don't make the playoffs in the end, but there is a chance that the stars align. Not sure that either option matters.

Stillers fans are spoiled and nobody remembers what to do with a mediocre team. Just watch and enjoy your wings and nachos.

Interesting how we can make things seem how we want by picking bits here and leaving out others, the both of us on opposite sides of the debate.

Start here end there..no here and here..etc

If only the nfl had a set time period for their games so you could get a true evaluation

oh wait they do! Its called a season. And the steelers are in the lower half of the league. 20th or so out of 32 teams, with losses to more than a couple teams even lower than them.. in fact the steelers lost to every team they played who has more than 8 wins.

So why do they have a "post season"?

Successful seasons are more wins than losses. Mediocrity and sub-par mean nothing.
I would amend this to successful seasons are gaining enough wins to make the playoffs & then winning said playoff games - plenty of teams (including the steelers) have had spectacular regular seasons & then tanked in the playoffs & likewise teams have squeaked into the playoffs with mediocre or subpar records & then dominated enough to make a deep playoff run.

Just illustrating that Bruce Arians is a fraud; that's all. I don't have to be proven right immediately either. I said in 2007 that the Cowboys would initially respond positively to Wade Phillips as their head coach, but eventually the team would implode as he lost control of the team. The Cowboys went 13-3 in 2007, but Phillips was fired halfway through the 2010 season after the team began to tune him out. Bruce Arians won't last past 2016 as a head coach in the NFL.

Let me be more specific for you. Haley has never won a Super Bowl and never will. Arians has.

The "fraud" is the Steelers "retiring" him and bringing in Haley. A move that's proven to be a bad one.

Good point.

This team, however, is going nowhere.

Exactly.

All the rationalization reminds me of the line: "we never lost, we just ran out of time".

Go Chiefs!!!

While they're going nowhere, it would be great to get in.
