I just read that riverview was fully leased. PMCs apartments in the former Verizon building are fully leased as well. Penn Ave will fill up as well.

It's welfare cash assistance which is a lot of the problem with dealing in poor areas. Dealers will say that the easiest time to sell drugs is the beginning of the month, when welfare cash assistance comes in. That's when the big bucks are made. By the end of the month, all the welfare addicts have blown their money on drugs. It's a real travesty that it's our tax dollars financing drug dealers and gangs. Politicians don't care, or are too stupid to notice.

^ I neither disagree or agree with the politics involved on this debate, but concept_fusion is referring to the 1st & 15th which IS a real thing.

Haha ironically I wanted to change my name recently to incorporate my first name, but since it would be similar, I went against it. (Sorry Yac)

Back to the original topic, East Liberty isn't that great of a neighborhood yet as some have already pointed out. This type of thing is going to continue unfortunately. We live in a society where getting a gun at 15 is easier than getting a 6 pack.

No I don't care that such penalty would ruin peoples lives as there's too many good people out there for me to worry about 'a kid that just got caught up with the wrong crowd & made a bad choice' excuse that keeps these losers on the streets even after multiple arrests now
No plea bargaining for anybody charged with a violent crime, and no parole for anybody convicted of a violent crime either. People who commit violent crimes are savages, regardless of the color of their skin. They must be removed from polite society for an extended period of time, if not permanently.

I agree totally. Violent crimes are intolerable and the punishment should be stiff. Non violent offenders should get rehab and community service... They can help clean up all the trash and litter. H Curtis would love that....
